Former Home and Away star Sam Frost has revealed why she’s “putting the brakes” on a wedding to fiancé Jordie Hansen, in a candid chat on The Morning Show.
Host Larry Emdur asked Frost – who welcomed her first baby Ted in March – “When’s the wedding?”
“To be honest, I’m the one that’s, like, putting the brakes on it,” Frost said.

“It’s just so expensive and it’s just hard to justify spending so much money because we want to buy a house and now we’ve got a baby.”
“We can do a GoFundMe thing if you want,” Larry joked in response.
“We will eventually. But I think at the moment our focus is just little Teddy,” Frost continued.

Co-host Kylie Gillies told the couple that many young families could relate to what they were going through.
“That’s practically everybody’s story,” she said.
Elsewhere in the wide-ranging interview – which marked Ted’s first time on TV – Frost spoke about how much she was enjoying motherhood.
“He’s amazing,” she said of Ted.
“He’s the most chilled, smiling, happy baby.”
Speaking about “sleep deprivation”, Frost said she was surprised by how much energy she had.
“You can actually do quite a lot still,” she said.
“He just brings so much happiness into our lives.
“A lot of people during the pregnancy were telling me all the hard things – which is nice to be realistic.
“So I think I had low expectations and I was like ‘this is amazing’.
“I honestly cannot believe how good he is.”
But it has not been all plain sailing for the star.
In a candid Instagram post in May, Frost said she had found breastfeeding the most difficult part of being a mother.
In an update on her website, she said the experience had been “really difficult” for her “emotionally, mentally and physically”.
Frost explained that when her son was first born, he “latched on perfectly” but, after a few days, the actress was “in so much pain”.
“The advice I received was to push through it, so I tried,” she said.
“It seemed to be getting worse. Every feed, I was crying.. not just cute little tears, I was sobbing.
“Little Ted started getting distressed and frustrated, he would cry too.
“I’m not sure whether it was because he wasn’t getting enough milk, or if he was picking up my energy.”
Frost said that, in the end, she decided the bottle would be best for both of them.
The 34-year-old said that feeling “judgement and pressure” from others almost stopped her from sharing her journey.
“We all make mistakes. We all have days where we probably could have handled a situation better. But we are all trying our best. What works for one person, may not work for you,” she ended the entry.
