Florence Pugh’s Molten ‘Dune’ Manicure Is Out Of This World

Out-of-this-world nail art has become increasingly popular in recent years, with talented manicurists working with innovative gel technology to create 3-D shapes, add intricate embellishments, and layer on different colors and textures. A perfect example of this artistry came courtesy of Florence Pugh on Thursday night, who made an appearance on the Dune: Part Two red carpet in London sporting the ultimate sci-fi manicure.

Blink and you might have missed it–after all, Pugh’s intergalactic Valentino hooded gown and show-stopping makeup were already spectacle enough. But her molten fingertips caught Vogue’s eye. Created by nail artist, Anouska Anastasia, Pugh’s press-on manicure featured a bronze chrome base and celestial gel swirls–snake-like in form–that were rubbed with silver chrome to form a metal finish. Oh, and there were gemstones.

Nails like these prove you can have just as much fun–and get equally creative–with your fingertips as you can with your fashion on a big night out. Yes, they’re a smaller part of an ensemble, but those details make a difference. Expect to see Florence’s nails on manicure moodboards going forward.
