Airing on Channel 7 and 7plus on Tuesday night, Farmer Joe finally made the tough call between Sarah and Keely.

Joe admitted to Sarah, “This is one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made,” before acknowledging the country girl at heart had all the qualities he was looking for in a partner.

“I love the person you are. I love how strong and determined you are,” he said.

In starting the next chapter of his life on the farm, Joe recognised the path to love isn’t always smooth.

“It hasn’t always been easy with us,” he said.

“We’ve had some tough times. I’ve sometimes felt that you’ve pulled away.

“But I also know that you can be a shy person and take your time to get to know people.

“I also like that you challenge me. I don’t have all the answers for us, but I do see myself falling for you in the future.

“I want to tackle the future with you by my side, and us as a team.

“I’m looking for someone who doesn’t need me, but who wants me.

Joe asked Sarah if she wanted to come back to the farm with him.

“Absolutely,” Sarah replied, before the happy couple sealed the deal with a kiss.

Joe had to break the news to Keely, that he did not see his future with her.

“I do feel like you could have been my person at one stage, but I feel our timing was wrong,” he said, breaking down in tears.

“Our younger selves would have taken off and explored the world together, but with the responsibilities of the farm and the adventuring I know you still need and want, and I’m sorry, but I can’t give you that.”

Disappointed, Keely said: “I was definitely hoping for a different outcome.

“I’m sad that it’s over, but I wish you and Sez all the best, good luck with everything.

“It will take a moment to be OK, but I have been here before, so I know I will be OK.”

Joe’s decision comes a day after Dustin chose Sophie and Todd confessed his love to Daisy.

Earlier in the season, Farmer Tom told Sarah he was “falling in love,” and Dean made an earlier declaration of his feelings to Teegan.

The Farmer Wants a Wife reunion will air on Sunday, May 26 at 8:30pm AEST on Channel 7 and 7plus.
