Fans divided over ‘extortionate’ Oasis Australian ticket prices

Australian Oasis fans are furious over the ticket prices for the British band’s highly anticipated reunion tour, following the announcement of prices that some have slammed as “exorbitant.”

The iconic Britpop band, fronted by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, is set to perform together for the first time in years, but the ticket prices— many exceeding $300—have sparked a wave of backlash.

Oasis Live ‘25 tour also marks the first time sibling rockers Liam and Noel Gallagher have performed down under in 19 years.

Social media platforms have been flooded with comments from fans expressing their disappointment.

Many describe the pricing as “extortionate” and “unreasonable,” arguing it made attending the concerts unattainable for the average fan.

“$411 for the Sydney shows, how ridiculous!!” one said.

“So overpriced, $400 plus is just unreasonable,” a second added.

“I’m so disappointed, I love Liam but I can’t spend that on a ticket,” another said.

“I don’t care who they are, these prices are just extortionate,” someone else said.

“It’s disappointing to see such high prices for a reunion that should be about the fans,” one commenter lamented.

Meanwhile, others defended Oasis, admitting the tickets were “expensive, but this is legit a once-in-a-lifetime experience”.

“$300, $400, whatever. To proper fans who are never going to see them again, it’s doughnuts,” another TikTok user said.
