Wilbur Ross, who served as commerce secretary in Donald Trump’s White House, has tressed the importance of the upcoming 2024 election debate between Trump and Democratic rival Kamala Harris.
Ross told radio host John Catsimatidis that he thinks Trump will perform well if he sticks to policy issues but the former cabinet member still had some words of warning for his one-time boss.
“The only danger is Trump being big and strong and a man,” Ross cautioned. “He has to be careful not to be seen as piling on a woman. People don’t like to see a woman pushed too hard.”
Trump should make the debate about inflation, the U.S. southern border and “all the things that people are really very worried about,” he added.
