“Beyond differences and geographical boundaries, there lies a common interest.” These are the words of Jean Monnet, considered one of the founders of the European Union. They now resonate on the eve of the elections for the European Parliament, taking place 6-9 June 2024, and gain even more significance when accompanied by Walking Home, the project created by the German photographer Clara Nebeling.
Nebeling united 27 photographers to inspire people to vote and be active citizens. Each one of the photographers, one from every EU country participating in the elections, offers a photograph that best represents the values of Europe. These photographs will be used to create your personal, customised poster: in addition to the 27 different pictures, you can choose the languages and colours you prefer to spread the word and create collective awareness.
The participating artists are:
Thomas Albdorf (AT), Charlotte Abramow (BE), Zlatimir Arakliev (BG), Louiza Vradi (CY), Hana Knizova (CZ), Clara Nebeling (DE), Matilde Rasmussen (DK), Kadri Odsiver (EE), Iris Humm (ES), Emma Sarpaniemi (FI), Wendy Huynh (FR), Alex Kurunis (GR), Inia Herencic (HR), Andi Galdi (HU), Linda Brownlee (IE), Sara Lorusso (IT), Jurga Ramonaite (LT), David Uzochukwu (LU), Marija Mihailova (LV), Joanna Demarco (MT), Melissa Schriek (NL), Joanna Wzorek (PL), Matilde Cunha (PT), Maria Sturm (RO), Hedvig Jenning (SE), Ana Santl (SI), Ester Sabik (SK)
