The Musk family compound?

Don’t laugh, it might be true.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has reportedly spent $35 million on two large Austin, Texas, homes within walking distance of each other to build a secret compound for two of the three mothers of his 11 children, the New York Post reported citing the New York Times.

The Times said the properties are a 14,400-square-foot Tuscan villa-like mansion and a six-bedroom home behind it. Musk has also bought a third home that’s a short walk from the other two.

The newspaper reported that he made the sellers sign non-disclosure agreements before he offered up to 70% more than what the homes would have gone for on the open market.

The father of 11 kids has spoken publicly about the need for people to have more children to prevent population decline.

According to the Times, Musk went so far as to offer his sperm to Nicole Shanahan, the ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, but she has denied reports they had an affair and turned down Musk’s offer.

Of the three women who have had his children, only Shivon Zilis, the Neuralink executive who is the mother to three of his kids, has moved in so far, reported the Times.

Meanwhile, Grimes, the Canadian pop star whose legal name is Claire Boucher and who mothered another three of Musk’s children, is in a custody battle with him.

Musk’s first wife, Justine Musk, had five of his kids, but neither she nor Grimes were living in the compound as of Tuesday.

All four were unavailable to comment.

Musk first met Justine when they were college students at Queen’s University in Kingston and they got married in January 2000 after moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he first became a millionaire after selling the online startup Zip2.
