Using state-of-the-art technology, your new roommate “Yiko” is voice activated and entirely customisable, cleaning your home exactly the way you like it.
Set up was made to be easy.
Gone are the days of lengthy instruction manuals. Conveniently located QR helps you through a simple three-step connectivity guide, resulting in an easy-to-navigate app on your mobile.
The machine itself comes with a stylish and compact home hub or “station”, allowing the DEEBOT T30 PRO OMNI a place to empty, clean and recharge.
The slimline hub comes in white or black, and, measuring at just 335mm high, 351 wide and 104 deep, the contemporary design can fit seamlessly into any tight space in your home.
After you set Yiko off on its first clean around your home, you can customise your cleaning desires using the ECOVACSHOME app with the touch of a button.
From vacuum and mopping speed, to selecting particular rooms to clean or a simple quick spot clean, the options are endless.
The app is also a convenient place to check on water levels, accessory conditions, battery life and what the DEEBOT T30 PRO OMNI is currently up to.
For Yiko, tackling a messy toddler and two long-haired indoor dogs was no challenge, and it swept up wet and dry spills with ease.
Spilled lunch to dog hair proved no issue for the DEEBOT T30 PRO OMNI with the 1100PA powerful suction flawlessly collecting any mess thrown its way.
The anti-tangle Dual Comb Teeth Arrays does not overpromise, and hair — human and dog — proves no problem.
DEEBOT T30 PRO OMNI returns to the station once the vacuum chamber is full, and it self-empties, allowing it to continuously vacuum.
I did have initial concerns with ECOVACS’ recommendation of ensuring the floor was clear of clutter, and that furniture items (such as chairs) were tucked in place.
With a toddler who doesn’t (yet) always put toys away, I confess I watched in awe as Yiko sensed the out-of-place doll and glided around it.
Unfazed by the sudden roadblock, DEEBOT T30 PRO OMNI was able to detect and manoeuvre without an issue — protecting the curly hair of the Cabbage Patch Doll.
DEEBOT T30 PRO OMNI uses the latest infrared technology allowing it to identify 3D objects, keeping your walls scuff free from unwanted bumps.
And with its 360 degree rotating brush, its bristles extend along the base of your walls, giving you a close clean while protecting your paint.
I was impressed with the machine’s ability to seamlessly transition from floorboards, tiles and carpet in one clean, switching from vacuum to mop with ease.
Morphing from vacuum to mop also proved no issue as it navigated my long floorboard hallway topped with a carpet runner.
The edges of the rug remained dry, and the boards meeting the carpet were freshly mopped thanks to its 9mm auto-lift mop pads.
The self-clean feature was another favourite of mine, with Yiko cleaning her two cloth discs after each wash.
If the mop pads need an extra clean, you can select a deep clean feature on the app or simply remove the discs and clean in your washing machine.
Hybrid flooring will also be a breeze with the ECOVACHOME option to use a “low” water flow leaving delicate flooring clean and dry.
And while simple tap water leaves your floors sparkling clean, for an extra deep clean you can purchase cleaning solution to really leave your floors glistening.
Yiko self docks after the task is completed, resetting for the next mission.
Whether you use the simple voice-assist function to begin clean up while you’re cooking dinner, set up a weekly mopping routine using the app, or hit the start button on the machine as you’re racing out the door, every function on the DEEBOT T30 PRO OMNI is bound to impress.
As for battery life, Yiko has tackled a whole house double vacuum and high flow mop without dropping below 50 per cent.
