Instagram account Fashion Critical shared a wrap-up of the best looks on the Logies red carpet Sunday night – and Sunrise stars were among them.
One photo showed presenter Nat Barr rocking her black strapless gown alongside new co-host Matt Shirvington, who was dressed in a custom black tuxedo from designer Brent Wilson.
“Ooooh this is just lovely on Nat (Barr),” the post began.
“How elegant is a simple black column dress done right.
“And Kochie looks honestly the best I’ve ever seen him!!!!”
The real Kochie quickly poked fun at the post – sharing it on his Instagram stories.
“I agree @fashion_critical,” he wrote, alongside a laughing emoji.
The fashion account later reshared the post, calling Kochie a “good sport”.
Following the Logies, the stars of Sunrise opened up about Kochie’s “loose” night.
“It’s lovely to see Kochie last night, wasn’t it?” presenter Edwina Bartholomew said.
“Just in his element, on the champagnes early. Clearly did not need to get up this morning!”
Sports presenter Mark Beretta added: “In one word: loose.”
Eddy agreed, saying: “He was a loose unit.”
Shirvo responded: “How good! Relaxed.”
Earlier in the Logies telecast, host Sam Pang made several jokes at Kochie’s expense, saying that he was only allowed into the awards night because he was “Larry Emdur’s plus one”.
In another roast he told the former Sunrise host: “There’s no doubting you changed breakfast television forever.
“Warmth, humour, personality … you needed none of those.
“What a marvel you are, sir. Well done!”
The quip left the audience – and Kochie – in stitches.
