CreateCOP29: Art Partner announces the 2024 open call

Art Partner, a leading global creative agency, is excited to announce an open call for art submissions for #CreateCOP29. This contest aims to spark dialogue and action on climate justice while highlighting the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference 2024 (UNFCCC COP 29).

The creative agency invites artists of all backgrounds—regardless of nationality, race, gender, or faith, and aged 14 to 30—to submit works addressing the climate emergency. Submissions are welcome in any medium, including photography, documentary and experimental film, performance art, spoken word, music, fashion design, new media, and social media projects.

Artists may explore themes such as biodiversity, climate justice, corporate greenwashing, material innovation, wildlife conservation, plastic waste and pollution, grassroots activism, intersectional environmentalism, regeneration, and the physical and mental impacts of the climate crisis.

Applications open on createcophub.com from August 1, 2024, and close on October 31, 2024. Eight finalists will receive cash prizes of $10K, $5K, or $2K, while an additional 20 creatives will earn honourable mentions from a distinguished panel of judges.

All finalists and honourable mentions will have their work showcased on artpartner.com and featured on Art Partner’s Instagram account, @artpartner (393k followers). Winning and notable works will also be considered for inclusion in the #CreateCOP traveling exhibition, which has been hosted at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, Fotografiska Shanghai during Shanghai Climate Week, and Photo London 2024.

#CreateCOP aims to elevate the call for environmental change by offering a platform for emerging voices, particularly from marginalised communities. This initiative seeks to present diverse perspectives on climate change and foster impactful conversations about urgent environmental issues. Art Partner is dedicated to using its creative expertise and network to drive awareness and inspire action on critical environmental challenges.
