It’s a long way down the holiday road.

Try 41 years.

So how delightful that National Lampoon’s Vacation stars Christie Brinkley and Chevy Chase decided to take a trip down that same road posing together in a recent series of Instagram photos, reported Fox News.

“Vacation is always over too soon!” Brinkley, 70, and Chase, 80, wrote on their Instagram accounts with a car emoji.

The model and actor-comedian were all smiles as they posed in what appeared to be in the back seat of a vehicle.

Brinkley donned a tan sweater and large blue rings on her fingers, while Chase wore a light green shirt underneath a pink buttoned-up shirt, red-rimmed glasses and a white hat.

They also shared a video with Chase waving to the camera.

Their reunion came more than four decades after the release of the first 1983 film about the Griswold family’s cross-country road trip that starts in Chicago and ends at a southern California amusement park with many mishaps and strange family members along the way.
