C V Raman: Maruti Suzuki rejigs senior management; Tarun Aggarwal to succeed C V Raman

The country’s largest manufacturer Maruti Suzuki today announced organisational changes across engineering, marketing and sales, supply chain and human resources.

With effect from April 1, Tarun Aggarwal will succeed C V Raman as Head (Engineering), Partho Banerjee will take over from Shashank Srivastava as Head (Marketing & Sales), Manoj Gautam will succeed Rajesh Uppal as Head (Information Technology) and Deepak Thukral will take over from Sunil Kakkar as Head (Supply Chain).

Raman, Srivastava and Uppal will become Members of the Executive Committee (MEC). Kakkar will take charge in his new role as Head (Corporate Planning). Rahul Bharti, earlier head (corporate planning) has been designated as Head (Corporate Affairs) with effect from April 1, 2024.

Additionally, Salil B Lal, executive vice-president (Human Resources) has been elevated to the position of Head (Human Resources). Ram Suresh Akella will take charge as Head (Service). Akella is presently executive officer in the marketing vertical. Sandeep Raina, presently executive vice-president and head of product development and cost and programme management, will assume office as Head (Product Planning).
