A Bunnings shopper has revealed how she transformed her shower screen using a very unlikely buy.
Sharing on a popular Facebook group, the homeowner explained she used Long Life Grout Cleaner to make the glass look like new again after spending “a fortune” on a range of products to no avail.
The cult spray — available at Bunnings — has long been praised by cleaning fans for its effectiveness on floor tile grout.

But now the homeowner has claimed it also works miracles on glass screens, saying she made the discovery by accident.
“OMG OMG OMG, I’m sure like me you get so frustrated with the glass in the shower,” she wrote on the Mums Who Clean Facebook page.
“We have such hard water and I have spent a fortune on all manner of cleaners and spent way too much of my life scrubbing the bloody thing.
“WELL NO MORE! I was spraying my grout and some of this sprayed onto the glass and I noticed almost instantly a difference!
“So I spray a little more on the glass, left for a few minutes and a quick scrub with a brush and voila, clean glass.
“Honestly, they look like new. I’m going to contact the company to let them know. Just hoping that there’s no reason not to use it.”
The Bunnings shopper shared before and after images of her screen to show the impressive difference — as well as a snap of the Long Life Grout Cleaner she used.
Some said the cleaner contains sulfanic acid, which is safe to use on glass and may have contributed to the amazing results.
“This is exactly why it worked on your shower screens … good job!” one said.
Others said they were keen to give the Bunnings buy a go on their shower screens.
“OMG wow, I need to do this on my glass as we have hard water build-up too,” one said.
Another wrote: “I will be doing this on my glass shower too.”
Yet another added: “Wow, that’s amazing.”
One more responded: “I use this Long Life brand for everything! Their cloudy ammonia is great for getting scum off tiles.”
