Chinese developer Game Science is getting ready to release its first major title for PS5 and PC via Steam. Black Myth Wukong is a gorgeous looking action-adventure game based on classical Chinese novel Journey to the West. Featuring slick hack and slash gameplay, beautiful environments and some truly epic boss battles, Black Myth Wukong has been hotly anticipated since it was first announced all the way back in 2020. Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait much longer, because Black Myth Wukong has an August 20 release date on PlayStation and PC. Judging by the countdown clocks on PSN and Steam, the game should be playable from 2-3am BST UK time.
To ensure you don’t miss a second of the action and can start playing the moment servers go live, Black Myth Wukong is available to download now for pre-order customers.
If you haven’t already, then we would recommend pre-loading as soon as possible, because the PC version requires 130GB of storage space, while the PS5 version weighs in at around 104GB.
Needless to say, the game will almost certainly receive an update or two in the coming weeks, so expect the file size to get even bigger.
In terms of pricing, the PC Standard Edition is available for £49.99, while the PS5 Standard Edition costs £54.99.
A Digital Deluxe Edition is available for an additional £10, and contains exclusive items such as a new Bronzecloud Staff, Folk Opera Mask, Bracers, Armour and Buskins.
That’s on top of a set of Wind Chimes, as well as the Black Myth Wukong soundtrack.
