Big Brother star Reggie Bird left shocked after discovering terrifying detail in her picture

Big Brother star Reggie Bird has stunned her followers on social media by sharing a photo that needs a second look.

The two-time winner of the beloved reality TV show took to Instagram on Tuesday to ask her fans whether they were seeing what she was seeing.

In the photo, Reggie is taking a dip at Berry Springs in the Northern Territory, a popular picnicking and swimming spot.

She’s smiling at the camera, sporting black bathers and bright pink nail polish.

So far, so normal.

But in the background, to her right, there appears to be a ripple in the water.

Reggie posted the photo with a red circle superimposed around the ripple.

“I have zoomed in and zoomed in and keep looking at this pic!” she wrote.

“Was this a crocodile behind me? 😳😳😳🐊🐊🐊

”I swear I can see an eye! Or not?”

The post was hashtagged #berrysprings and #crocodile.

In another picture, Reggie also zoomed in for a closer look.

Is it a water ripple – or the distinctive patterning of crocodile skin?

Most of Reggie’s followers thought there may indeed have been “something in the water”.

“There is something in the water… 👀 omg , glad you’re ok ❤️,” one person wrote.

“Nothing like swimming with a new friend,” said another.

“Babe, if you didn’t see it, it wasn’t there. Just sayin’,” joked a third.

“The water definitely doesn’t look right there,” one fan observed.

“Omg I can see the eye too,” wrote another.

‘Crocs love a selfie’

“Crocs love to join a selfie nowadays,” wrote one.

Another follower said they had recently been to Berry Springs – and had a bit of information about their visit that was unlikely to have put Reggie’s mind at ease.

“When we were there just before you, it was closed ‘cause of crocs, so could be,” they wrote.

“Maybe they missed one?”

“I don’t know wtf that is. But I’m glad you’re OUT of the water!” said another.

Reggie appears to have a thing about crocodiles.

In February, she visited Crocosaurus Cove in Darwin, billed as the “ultimate urban wildlife experience” and which features the “Cage of Death crocodile dive”.

Reggie posted pictures from the cove, where you can (safely) spend 15 minutes in a protected cage, getting up close and personal with saltwater crocodiles.

“I cannot tell you how good this experience was,” Reggie wrote, sharing a picture of herself watching a croc being fed.

“Absolutely s******* myself and met Leo 🐊.

“If you ever come to Darwin make sure you pop into the @crocosauruscove and see these amazing creatures.

“The staff were absolutely amazing and I truly had one of the best moments of my life.”

Fans were wowed by Reggie’s bravery.

“Wowza! Yoou got some guts, girl,” one fan said.

“I thought that was Photoshopped at first!” exclaimed another.

“Amazing.”

“That’s a Yeah Nahhhhh from me 😂” noted a third.

Adventurous Reggie

Reggie’s desire to get out there and do adventurous things stems from her diagnosis with Usher syndrome, a rare genetic disease that affects both hearing and vision – and which will eventually leave the star deaf and blind.

The mum of two was initially diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa before learning she had Usher syndrome.

She recently revealed she wanted to get out there and see the world “before it’s too late”.

In an Instagram post, the Big Brother fan favourite is seen posing in front of a scenic backdrop of mountaintops and blue sky and holding her mobility aid.

Fans responded with their encouragement for her to see the world.

“Enjoy every moment day by day and build as many memories as you can… if you want to go away again then do it, don’t have any regrets,” one said.

“Go for it Reggie ❤️ Enjoy life while you feel this way 😍 Life is too short. Follow your dreams my friend 😂,” added another.
