When Mister Zimi dropped its latest Lamu collection last month, it took all of six minutes for its most popular Vivi Dress to completely sell out – with myself being one of the avid buyers.
And now, the Byron Bay-based brand has released a new resort-based collection filled with some of the vibrant and floral prints from the Lamu drop – but this time they come in the form of swimsuits, bikinis and beach cover-ups.
When news of the resort collection dropped on Instagram, it wasn’t long before shoppers flooded the comments to say how “obsessed” they were with the line.

“Loving these bathers so much,” one commenter wrote beneath a picture of the new and wildly popular Birdie Bikini in Peponi ($159), which at the time of writing is being viewed by more than 3,000 people.
“Sizzling and dizzying. Like a strobing light force,” another said of the Honey One Piece in Ric Rac ($159).
Highlights in the collection include ubiquitously flattering and high-waisted styles like the Birdie in wear-everywhere shades like Espresso.
Others are loving the Honey One Piece in Manda Bay ($159), which features moulded underwire cups and adjustable straps – making it perfect for any kind of figure.
I’ve particularly got my eye on the Poolside Dress in Beach Stripe ($189), which I intend to wear for as much of the summer as I can get away with.
I think it’s the perfect dress to style up or down, whether with a bikini and Birkenstocks or glittery sandals for a beach to bar night.
The Beach Shirt in Ric Rac ($149) is also on my list, and I particularly love it when paired with the matching swimsuit and aviator shades.
Finally, having snapped up the Vivi dress in Pink Ric Rac previously, it would be remiss of me not to want to finish it off with the latest iteration: the Liss Set in Black Ric Rac ($239).
A strapless design with flared hems from top to toe, the set looks like it’s made for summertime socialising.
The effortless styles and vibrant prints and colour of Mister Zimi’s latest offerings promise to set the mood for sunset soirees, special occasions, spring racing, weddings and languid beach days.
Described as a “feeling as much as a label”, each piece from the Zimi collections aim to “capture the spirit of holiday relaxation through unique designs” with “unapologetically bright, bold and fun prints”.
“Mister Zimi is a daily reminder to wear whatever makes you feel good,” the website reads.
“This is our value proposition. After all, life is too short to do otherwise.”
