Koh has dropped the price of its dish sponges to just $3 per pack of four until stocks last.
The viral cleaning brand was inspired to create a “dish sponge garden” after it found thousands of its $24 four pack biodegradable sponges nearing their end of life in the warehouse.
So instead of sending the dish sponges to landfill, Koh has created gardens with them.
As the sponges are fully biodegradable and natural with no pesticides, they can create healthy and organic pot plants, herbs and vegetables.
The unused and eco-friendly sponges act as ingenious water banks in wicking beds, providing plants with essential moisture through capillary action. The sponges act as a layered garden bed, creating a self-watering design, reducing water usage and creating a happier home for your plants.
When it comes to making your sponge garden, the number of sponges you need completely depends on the diameter of your garden.
If you have a 15cm pot diameter, then you need one Koh sponge pack, for a 30cm diameter you’ll also need just the one pack of four sponges.
However if your garden bed is 200cm x 100cm, you’ll need 40 individual sponges which equates to 10 Koh sponge packs.
And for a garden bed that is 300cm x 100cm, you’ll need 60 individual sponges, equating to 15 Koh sponge packs.
So grab a pack of sponges here and get your green thumb ready today.
