Unless you spend big money on something like a Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally or Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, there aren’t too many cool-looking electric hatchbacks for sale in the U.S. If you find yourself browsing car listings on eBay, you’ll come across something that’ll have you searching for flights to the UK.
First spotted by @realUNICARNS on X, there’s a Honda E listed for sale on eBay by a UK based dealership called Better Performance LTD. Before you groan, hear me out. The Honda E was a handsome hatchback of an EV that Honda initially wanted to bring to the U.S. Instead it went to countries like Europe and Japan where it flopped hard; its steep price of nearly $45,000 and a love of SUVs helped kill it. Just over 12,000 were sold over three years of production.
This is one of those 12,000, modified by a company called Innovate Composites. This Honda E wears a custom carbon fiber body kit that the description says was created in house. Innovate then threw on 19-inch Rotiform DTM wheels wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cups, and a coilover suspension setup from Yellow Speed Racing.
Inside, there’s a pair of custom, carbon fiber bodied Corbeau racing seats covered in dark tan leather. The rear bench and all the doors get covered in the same custom leather. Other than that, the interior is largely stock, which isn’t a bad thing considering the design and layout of the interior of the E.
Unfortunately this is all largely a cosmetic build. There’s no performance enhancements whatsoever. That means 152 horsepower, 232 pound-feet of torque and 124 miles of range. All this can be yours for the price of 34,991 pounds or $44,606 in freedom bucks. Steep price? Maybe, especially given the laughable range of this thing, but it’s doubtful you’ll ever see anything that looks this cool, especially on the streets of the U.S.
