Babies on laps among startling scenes captured in NSW cars after safety camera blitz

The state’s safety cameras have pinged over 11,000 NSW motorists breaking the law within less than a month.

Babies laying unrestrained on the laps of front seat passengers were just some of the concerning scenes captured by safety cameras.

There were 11,400 offences snapped, with fines totalling $4.7 million, within just 21 days.

Roads minister John Graham said the extent of the breaches “comes as a shock”.
