“That’s why the offers went so high — everyone’s very excited.”

It was reported that the deal was seven figures after months of negotiations.

Minogue rose to fame in Australia after being cast on Neighbours in 1986 as Charlene Mitchell.

She transitioned into pop music, selling more than 80 million records.

Some of her greatest hits from that time were Locomotion, I Should Be So Lucky, Spinning Around, and Can’t Get You Out of My Head.

In 2005, Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a recovery period of more than a year.

“It’s trauma, and any trauma resides within you,” Minogue, told CBS News of her diagnosis in 2023, nearly 20 years on.

“The experience of a cancer diagnosis will live in me. It was difficult. It was also amazing.”

“Amazing in that you are very aware of your body, of the love that’s around you, of your capability, all sorts of things.”

She continued to release music and act, however it was not until Padam Padam that she burst back to the top of the charts.
