Aussies have been left outraged over the shockingly high price of Tim Tams after one shopper took to social media to reveal the cost of the iconic chocolate biscuit.
A pack of the original Arnott’s biscuits are selling for an eyewatering $6 at Aussie supermarkets, with hundreds of frustrated Reddit users blasting the hike after a picture of the price was shared online.
Some users deemed the cost as “un-Australian” and said Tim Tams are one thing that should not go up in price amid the cost-of-living crisis.

One person deemed the high cost as “literal petrol station prices”.
“I remember when a double pack used to only be about $4.50,” one user said.
“That’s just un-Australian,” a third user added.
One shocked user recalled a time when a pack of Tim Tams was just a humble $2.50, a price shoppers wouldn’t see in any major supermarkets today.
“This country is f***ed,” another Aussie complained.
An Arnott’s spokesperson told FEMAIL the reason for the price hike was because of the rise in price of input costs.
“Like most Australian manufacturers, we are experiencing a significant increase in our input costs, including the surging price of cocoa. This has led us to make the difficult decision to increase the price of our Tim Tam biscuits,” the spokesperson said.
