Anti-ageing serum makes shoppers ‘look younger’ now £40 down from £72

With there being so many anti-ageing beauty products on the market, it can be overwhelming choosing which one to spend your hard-earned cash on. Debenhams may have the answer, as the retailer is selling a serum that shoppers are full of praise for – and it’s currently on sale.

Kiehl’s Retinol Skin Renewing Daily Micro-Dose Serum usually costs £50 for a 30ml bottle and £72 for 50ml, however you can now add the product to your skincare routine for £40 or £57.60, depending on the size you opt for. This is the cheapest price you can buy the anti-ageing serum for, with it costing full price at Boots.

The serum is formulated with pure retinol, ceramides and peptides to promote gentle skin surface turnover for ‘youthful-looking skin’. The brand says the micro-dose formulation of the product delivers visible results with minimal visible redness, dryness, or peeling.

The retinol serum claims to visibly reduce wrinkles, make skin firmer, minimise pores, and make skin tone and texture more even. The Kiehl’s product is a fast-absorbing lightweight cream that is paraben-free, fragrance-free, mineral oil-free and phthalate-free.

Debenhams shoppers are full of praise for the serum, with it earning an overall rating of 4.5 out of five. One delighted user awarded it full marks and said: “I have been using this retinol for around three months and have seen great results but those results did take time to come. I don’t get any irritation, dryness, redness or flaking skin which is so wonderful. I have noticed how smooth my skin has become.

“It really reduces texture and my makeup base looks heaps better. Also my frown line on my forehead looks smoother which makes me feel so much better about myself as I think it has made me look more younger. I’m not getting as many breakouts or clogged pores. It’s a wonderful retinol serum and is worth the money.”

A second commented: “I found the serum really agreed with my skin. After two weeks, my skin was left feeling smooth, looking plump, and my skin’s texture had improved. My skin never felt irritated, rather it felt comfortable and hydrated.

“My skin was left looking youthful and fresh – retinol is such a powerful ingredient to assist with skin turnover to reveal fresher looking skin. I highly recommend this product, and I think it’s a very approachable first-time retinol user product.”

“I have to say this is by far the best retinol serum I have ever used,” declared another thrilled customer. “I have sensitive skin and have been a bit wary of retinol, however I have had no bad reactions to this serum and the results have been amazing… I have noticed more youthful-looking skin, with much less noticeable fine lines and wrinkles. It is a very expensive product, but I have been very pleased with the results.”

Unfortunately the serum didn’t suit everyone, as one person explained: “I started using this every morning… My skin got so dry and irritated I had to stop using it. I think I maybe overdid it? I’m planning on going back to it but only using it every second day.”
