Amal Clooney Grows Her Impressive Vintage Collection With John Galliano Dior

Amal Clooney is doing what she does best—next to defending human rights, obviously: wearing trophy vintage in Lake Como.

The barrister and her husband, George Clooney, recently returned to their home away from home in Lake Como in style. After Clooney rocked a neon pink ruffled Versace dress from spring 2004 in Saint-Tropez earlier this summer, she donned another pristine vintage look from the same season in Italy.

The vintage-loving Clooney enjoyed dinner with George in a spring 2004 Christian Dior dress by John Galliano. The silk midi dress, featuring a thigh-high slit, is a masterclass in power clashing, with a large black-and-white polka dot pattern over a pink and yellow rose motif. (The same dress recently sold on Vestiaire Collective for just over $900.) She accessorized with a pair of dangling earrings and a gold metallic clutch.

This multi-patterned dress is just one piece of Amal Clooney’s impressive archival Dior collection. Last summer at the DVF Awards in Venice, the human-rights lawyer celebrated the honor with another one of John Galliano’s Dior creations from fall 2000: an asymmetrical blush lace midi dress with a drop-waist tulle overskirt. And last summer in Lake Como, she opted for a bridal-inspired Galliano Dior from spring 1999, which she sourced from Tab Vintage.
