AFLW chaos as two separate fights break out simultaneously during Sydney-Collingwood season opener

The AFLW’s match review officer will scrutinise a chaotic 30 seconds of play that saw three players go down from crunching hits in two separate incidents during the season-opening clash between Collingwood and Sydney.

It all began when Collingwood midfielder Tarni White flattened Sydney defender Maddy Collier as she was loading up to kick out of the Swans’ defensive 50 during the third quarter at North Sydney Oval on Friday night.

White chose to bump and caused a head clash with White, who stayed down for a number of minutes after the hit and took no further part in the game.
