Sydney veteran Taylor Adams has tied the knot with long-time partner Ellie Thornycroft in a beautiful Queensland wedding over the weekend.
The couple exchanged vows at The Valley Estate in Currumbin Valley on Friday surrounded by friends and family.
The newlyweds shared two photos from their big day with the caption, “Mr & Mrs Adams.”

Among the guests were a host of current and former teammates, including star Swans Brodie Grundy and Isaac Heeney and Magpies Scott Pendlebury, Darcy Moore, Steele Sidebottom, Jeremy Howe and Darcy Cameron.
The wedding came after another tough year for Adams after the 31-year-old was overlooked for selection in the Swans’ grand final team.
He had played 19 senior games, but was dropped on the eve of the finals as the club faced a selection squeeze.
Adams’ omission came 12 months after missing out on a premiership at Collingwood. His time at the Pies ended in heartbreaking fashion when he suffered a hamstring injury after the qualifying final.
Adams later admitted he was “hurt” by his departure from the club, where he spent 10 years and was vice-captain.
Speaking earlier this year, Adams said he had felt there had been a “lack of transparency” during the season and it ended with an unconvincing end-of-year meeting with coach Craig McRae about the future.
“I was pretty disappointed by the feedback and the transparency that I got from Collingwood throughout the year,” Adams said.
“In a nice way, they phased me out and it felt a lot like that.”
He said he ended up meeting with Sydney coach John Longmire and in a very honest one-on-one.
“(I told Longmire), ‘Look, my preferred route is to not move but I’ve got to make a decision in my head because footy doesn’t last forever and I feel like I’ve got some more to offer’,” Adams said.
“I then met with ‘Wrighty’ (Collingwood football boss Graeme Wright) and ‘Fly’ (McRae) on the Thursday and ‘Fly’ basically said, ‘Nothing is going to really change next year, we think you do a great job in the role that you’re playing’ …
“And I thought, to be honest, he was blowing wind up my arse.”
Adams said he then had to make a decision, but the lack of contact from McRae was disappointing.
“I actually didn’t hear from ‘Fly’ at all again which hurt me,” he said.
“He should have called me and had the hard conversation but I can understand why he didn’t as he just won a flag and had a baby and there was a lot going on.
“I don’t have any hard feelings about it.”
