Abbie Chatfield fuels rumours she’s dating Adam Hyde from Peking Duk

Media personality Abbie Chatfield has confirmed she’s in a new relationship by gushing about her man on her It’s A Lot podcast.

And without actually naming him, Chatfield has subtly fuelled online rumours that the man in question is Adam Hyde, one half of popular Aussie DJ duo Peking Duk.

Speculation has been rife in recent weeks that the pair were dating.

The podcast’s producer said Chatfield had already “soft launched” Hyde by posting a video showing them dancing at the Grand Prix with the caption “Fun Grand Prix x FRIENDS.”

“No, we’re not … The caption said ‘friends’ in capital letters,” Chatfield, 28, answered.

But then Chatfield quipped: “I literally feel like music sounds better with him,” before breaking into a rendition of the Stardust song Music Sounds Better With You.

The 28-year-old went on to talk about how “healthy” her new relationship was.

“It’s actually the most important thing that’s happened to me, dating-wise,” she said, becoming teary.

“I cry every day because of how happy I am.

“He’s just been the kindest, most supportive person.

“It’s like he’s opened up a whole new world that I can see, that, like, things aren’t always going to end badly, and not just romantically.”

Chatfield said she’d almost pulled a muscle on several occasions from laughing so much with her new man.

“I’d really given up on finding someone I like being around this much that also treated me well,” she said.

“He’s so emotionally intelligent.”

Her Instagram followers noted how glad they were that she had found happiness — and continued the speculation that she was dating Hyde.

“Some Peking Duk will do that to ya,” one fan wrote.

”I saw the chemistry lol — if it’s who I think it is recently Abbie, 🔥 10/10,” added another.

“If it’s who people think it is, I’ve been secretly rooting that y’all two get together for a while,” wrote a third.

“I hope it’s who I think it is. You’re glowing, queen,” echoed another fan.

“It’s the guy with the long hair that she was hanging around with at the Grand Prix thing, there are photos of them together,” one follower added.

Adam Hyde is known for forming Peking Duk alongside friend Reuben Styles.

The duo started out in 2010 and won an ARIA for Best Dance Release with the song High, released in 2014.

Chatfield’s new relationship revelation comes after her high-profile split from ex-boyfriend Konrad Bien in 2022.

The influencer had been upfront about the fact that they had been in an open relationship.

However, when they broke up, Chatfield said it had nothing to do with the open status of their relationship.

Speaking about her new partner on It’s A Lot, Chatfield said that currently the relationship was monogamous.

“I am really not in a position to be in an open relationship right now because of how traumatised my brain is,” she said.

“I need to feel like fully focused on (one person).

“I was really scared to tell (the new boyfriend) because I was thinking he would want to be open, and open only.

“I think monogamy is going to happen until, like, a few more months.”
