CRIME SCENE: Halton cops probe armed home invasion in Milton

Halton Regional Police are investigating an armed home invasion in Milton on Tuesday.

Police said 11:45 a.m., four suspects allegedly broke into a house in the Tremaine Rd.-Louis St. Laurent Blvd. area.

Residents were home at the time and police said the accused posed as a food delivery service.

Cops said the accused had a firearm that wasn’t used.

Police said a male resident was allegedly assaulted, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

The accused allegedly stole jewelry and other valuables.

Police believe this was a targeted home invasion.

The accused were wearing tracksuits with masks, glasses and hooded sweaters.

Anyone with video footage near the intersection of Tremaine Rd. and Louis St. Laurent Blvd. from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday is asked to call police at 905-825-4777 ext. 2416, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

TRIO SOUGHT FOR OSHAWA BREAK-IN, THEFT

Three men are sought after a break-in and theft at an Oshawa business.

Durham Regional Police alleged that on Thursday at 4:15 a.m., the accused broke into the storage area of a furniture business in the Simcoe St.-Niagara Dr. area.

Four mattresses were stolen.

The first suspect is described as a white male with a chin-strap beard. He was wearing black clothing.

The second suspect is a white male. He was wearing a two-tone sweater and blue jeans.

The third suspect is also a white male. He was wearing a black baseball hat, black capri-style pants, and multi-coloured running shoes.
