How to watch his response to Trump, Biden

(NewsNation) — Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will not attend Thursday’s presidential debate with former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden. Instead, Kennedy will answer the same debate questions in real-time on his website Here’s what you need to know:

What is RFK Jr. doing during the debate?

Kennedy will answer the same debate questions as Trump and Biden on a live stream powered by X at 9 p.m. ET Thursday.

“Over 70% of Americans want a different choice than Presidents Biden or Trump,” Kennedy said in a video he posted on X. “They’re tired of voting for the lesser of two evils.”

Why isn’t RFK Jr. at the presidential debate?

Kennedy did not qualify for the debate against Trump and Biden because he wasn’t on the ballot in enough states.

To qualify for the debate, a candidate must appear on the ballot in enough states to reach the 270 electoral college votes necessary to win the presidential election. Kennedy is currently on the ballot in six states.

“They are trying to exclude me from their debate because they are afraid I would win. Keeping viable candidates off the debate stage undermines democracy,” Kennedy wrote on X.

Participants must also receive at least 15% in four separate national polls of registered or likely voters according to CNN.

What could Trump and Biden debate?

Topics like immigration, the economy and the recent Trump and Hunter Biden felony convictions are likely to be highlighted during the debate. While Biden and Trump answer questions, Kennedy will answer about his policies along with them on his live stream.
