Jake Soligo put the hosts up by 16 points midway through the third term before Joel Amartey and Isaac Heeney quickly reduced the deficit to single figures.

Defender Mitch Hinge retaliated by flooring Adams with a heavy bump right in front of the umpire.

A free kick was quickly paid and Adams kicked truly to put the Swans up by 15 points.

“It’s almost become a bit of a concern around the game that you can suck another free kick in. The players converge together, we are almost encouraging it by the penalty directly in front, it had to be a free kick, but we’re seeing a lot of it now,” Channel 7 commentator Luke Darcy said.

“There is no need for it … Adam sucked him in perfectly, Hinge didn’t need to do it. The free kick was there. And all their good work is unravelling now,” four-time premiership great Shaun Burgoyne added.

When Amartey kicked his eighth just before three-quarter time, the margin had quickly ballooned out to 21 points and all but ended the match as a contest.

The Swans kicked the first three of the final term to make it a staggering 10 consecutive goals as they stormed to another victory.

Crow Ben Keays finally ended the run of goals in the closing stages of the match to reduce the final margin to 42 points.

Amartey finished the match with nine goals in a stunning performance.
