Indiana Jones release date revealed with incredible new gameplay trailer | Gaming | Entertainment

The Xbox Developer Direct shined the spotlight on a variety of upcoming Xbox and PC games. This includes Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which is a brand new first-person action game developed by Wolfenstein studio MachineGames. After an extended deep dive into the upcoming new release, Microsoft confirmed that the new Indiana Jones game will have a 2024 release date on Xbox Series X|S and PC. As an added bonus, the Indiana Jones release will be available as a day one release on Xbox Game Pass.

“Set between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle is a first-person, single-player adventure that will take you all over the world, uncovering clues and solving an ancient mystery,” reads the official description.

“Become the adventurer in a race against sinister forces. Your journeys will take you from the hallowed halls of the Vatican and the arid deserts of Egypt to the lush and sunken temples of Sukhothai and the frigid peaks of the Himalayas.”

As you can see from the gameplay trailer below, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will perhaps surprisingly adopt a first-person perspective.

The iconic adventurer will use his whip to lasso enemies and traverse the environment, all the while getting into fist and gun fights with Nazi antagonists.

Fans can also expect multiple epic set pieces, including one sequence where Indy must shoot down a plane.

Beyond Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the Xbox Developer Direct gave fans a look at games like Hellblade 2, Avowed and Ara: History Untold.

Square Enix also made a surprise appearance during the event, previewing upcoming role-playing game Visons of Mana.

Launching in summer 2024, Visions of Mana is the first new mainline entry in the series in 15 years.

According to producer Masaru Oyamada, the game will feature fast-paced combat, as well as an Elemental ability system.
