If you happen to find yourself on the streets of San Francisco, dear Jalops, keep an eye out. There’s an interesting car that’s been left on one of the city’s streets, and we want you to find it. First sent to us via EVUniverse.com and originally posted on Reddit, someone spotted a seemingly abandoned original Tesla Roadster on some random street in SF.

Aside from the nice-looking townhouse or condos in the background, it looks like something straight out of a post-apocalyptic movie: weather-beaten and dirty paint, weeds growing all around and under the car, foggy headlights and scratched-up body work. Various comments on Reddit gave a bit of information about the Roadster. Apparently, the car sits at the intersection of the streets Mission and College Terrace, which are private streets so San Francisco parking enforcement can’t tow it. It’s also been sitting for a while, as it was allegedly moved once in 2019 but hasn’t budged since.

This Roadster’s unique combo of Twilight Blue paint and Premium Cream & Beige Rally interior did make it a bit easier to dig up more details, like Reddit user DeedWest did.

That is VIN 180. It’s the only Twilight Blue with factory Premium Cream & Beige Rally interior so it wasn’t terribly difficult to narrow down. The last known owner has posted in the past on our Roadster TMC forum, so I messaged him to see if he still owns the car & can provide any context.

Even with that info, we’re tasking you fellow Jalopnik readers with finding out more info on this car or even getting in touch with the owner, especially if you live in the San Francisco area. Why was it left abandoned? Did the owner get tired of Elon’s bullshit? Does that person even still own it? We have all these questions and more as to why someone would abandon a super rare, six-figure electric sports car on the streets of one of the largest cities in the country.

You can email us with your findings at [email protected]. If you’re the first reader to come across this Roadster, we’ll even send you a hat.
