Speaking to 7NEWS.com.au, Mueller said the Crows dream run has been a big confidence booster.
“It’s only my second year, so I’m still learning a lot of things, and forming the relationships with all the girls, but I think we have such a tight-knit group, especially in the backline, that it’s made this season really, really easy to play as a unit back there,” she said.
“We all know what each other are doing and how each other plays, so it’s all just very, very smooth and easy to work with all the girls back there.
“The vibe at the club is really, really good and that’s not just with the playing group, that’s the staff and the extended club; they’re all really behind us.
“We have a couple of big games coming up in the back half of the season so we’re all really looking forward to the challenge and ready to face it and give it our best crack.”
Mueller credits teammate Sarah Allen for helping her improvement this season.
“She’s been a really key part of my journey this year, although she’s not playing on field, her leadership off field has just been incredible,” she said.
“She’s coming up at every break and just giving us little bits of feedback and advice and positive reinforcement and just has really been a great leader for us in the backline off field.
“And then as well, umm … MJ (premiership player Marijana Rajcic) has been the backline coach, and having played alongside her last year and then transitioning into her coaching role this year, it’s just been really seamlessly done and just really beneficial for the playing group. “
