Stocks to buy today: DLF, NBCC among top 7 trading ideas for 9 October

Indian frontline indices ended with gains on Friday led by strong gains in rate sensitive sectors like banking & finance, auto and realty stocks.

The buying action was on account of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) leaving the repo rate unchanged at 6.50%. The S&P BSE closed at 65,995.63, up by 364.06 points or 0.55%. The broader Nifty50 closed at 19,653.50, gaining 107.75 points or 0.55%. Meanwhile, banking gauge Nifty Bank settled at 44,360.60, higher by 147.25 points or 0.55%.

Volatility was lower from Thursday closing as India VIX stood at 10.30 on Friday, down 5.57%.
