A young Sunshine Coast family’s $100,000 boat has been stolen when thieves smashed through the fence of a secured marina.
The black Offshore Marine Master 680WA half-cabin vessel is a prized possession for Francesca Molina and her partner Andrew Scotland, as they make memories with their baby daughter.

“We go up north and spend days on the boat. He loves to fish. I love to sunbake and go snorkelling,” Molina told 7NEWS.
“It’s gorgeous, we love it. It’s quite big and distinctive. It’s a big black boat.
“I know we’re very fortunate to have a boat like that, but we also worked really hard to get it, so please return it.”
The boat had been docked in a fenced-off area at Mooloolaba Marina.
The last time it was seen was 4pm on Sunday.
The couple learned of the theft the following day when a friend texted Scotland from the marina asking: “Is your boat at home?”
Police are investigating the theft and believe the boat was targeted about 10.30pm on Sunday.
“Someone has planned to take that boat and pretty much gone after it without hesitation,” Acting Sergeant Murray Lyons told 7NEWS.
“The area has a six-foot high fence with three strands of barbed wire across the top of it, with padlocked gates.
“For some reason, they didn’t cut the padlock on the gate, they’ve gone straight through the fence wire beside it and driven in.”
Witnesses, including any nearby residents with CCTV, are urged to come forward.
