It’s awkward inside the luxury Miami apartment of the Israeli Prime Minister’s son, Yair Netanyahu these days.

Yair took to to X last week to slam Shin Bet, the Israeli equivalent of the Secret Service, which has members guarding him round the clock at an expense of $60,000 a month to the taxpayers.

According to the Jerusalem Post, Yair took to X after there were a series of probes into his father’s office “relating to leaks of classified intelligence documents, accusations that minutes of cabinet war meetings were doctored and allegations of blackmailing a senior military officer.”

Yair, not one to let things lie, slammed Shin Bet on X saying: “Is this the same Shin Bet that is arresting and torturing IDF officers over complete nonsense, the same Shin Bet that a few months ago released the Gazan Dr. Mengele — the director of the Shifa hospital — together with dozens of terrorists, with the excuse there was no room in the prisons?”

Yair Netanyahu unleashes on social media

In another post, Yair wrote regarding his father’s corruption trial: “We have had a coup against the democratic choice of the people by the prosecutors, the media and the courts…But we have not yet had a coup against the democratic choice of the people by all of the above and the Shin Bet and the military…[It’s] a banana republic like South America in the 60s.”

Netanyahu requested more security for his son

Ironically, this comes after a request from PM Netanyahu for more Shin Bet protection for his son – in August he asked for additional guards to be placed around Yair in Miami.

At the time, one wealthy Israeli – who, despite being over 50, left America for Israel to fight against Hamas — fumed to me: “And (Netanyahu) wants more money for his son who isn’t even fighting in the war — and has been hiding in Miami the whole time? This is outrageous!”

The latest posts from Yair have infuriated Israelis even more, with one Israeli involved in the military telling me, “Imagine, you are putting your life on the line for a person who is literally one of Israel’s most hated, and he slams you and your brothers like this? It’s insanity.”
