RFK Jr. ‘has no vaccine denialism’: Dr. Drew Pinsky

(NewsNation) — Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is fully vaccinated, so is his family, and he is not a vaccine denier, according to Dr. Drew Pinsky.

“He wants vaccines subjected to the same scientific rigor as all the other medication … that are allowed by the FDA to bring to market,” Pinsky said Thursday on NewsNation’s “On Balance.”

“There may be real significant problems with these vaccines. At least we should be able to ask the question,” he added.

Pinsky says that in numerous conversations with President-elect Donald Trump’s choice to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, he learned of Kennedy’s plans to hold the scientific community accountable on several levels.

“’I know how to dig into corrupt organizations,’” Pinsky quoted Kennedy.

“He said, ‘The first thing I’m going to do is I’m going to bring in the major (medical) journal editors and publishers, and I’m going to threaten them with a RICO action if they don’t disclose everything about their relationships with big pharma and straighten that out.’”

Pinsky also said Kennedy will have success in his “Make America Healthy Again” effort.

“It is increasingly clear that at least part of the problem is the way we eat and the food we get,” said Pinsky, who blames the same system that gave us decades of denial about the addictive properties of tobacco.

“The very same lobbyists, scientists and marketing professionals moved over tobacco to food. So, no surprise (that) yummy, addictive food, heavy lobbying, and we have unhealthy populations.”
