A 17-year-old Toronto boy has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a 28-year-old Kitchener man in January.

Waterloo Regional Police said officers responded on Jan. 25 at about 9 a.m. to reports of gunshots being fired on Gray St. near the intersection of Ottawa St. N. and Lackner Blvd. Police found a man dead outside a residence.
Two suspects were sought and the teen was charged on Tuesday.
Police said the second suspect remains at large.
Investigators did not release the names of the victim or suspects.

An unidentified suspect is sought after an elderly man was attacked and seriously injured in a Hamilton parking lot in September.

Hamilton Police responded on Sept. 2 at about 4 p.m. to 70 Jerome Crescent in the city’s east end for an assault call.
Polce said the senior was assaulted by an unknown man in the apartment complex’s parking lot. The suspect fled on an e-bike.
Cops said citizens helped the elderly man and provided care until emergency services arrived.
The wanted man is described as white, 40-50 years old with a medium build and grey and white short hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a black T-shirt and white running shoes.

MAN NABBED FOR MEMORIAL PLAQUE THEFTS
A 52-year-old Kitchener man is accused of stealing memorial plaques from benches at a tennis club in Cambridge.

Waterloo Regional Police said employees of a local business turned over to police on Oct. 30 several metal memorial plaques they believed were stolen.
Police determined the plaques had been stolen off benches at Victoria Park Tennis Club in Cambridge’s West Galt neighbourhood.
The Kitchener man was arrested on Wednesday and officers seized an additional stolen plaque belonging to the City of Kitchener. He was charged with two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000, and trafficking in stolen goods under $5,000.
KNIFE PULLED IN STOUFFVILLE ROBBERY
An image of a suspect has been released after a commercial robbery in Stouffville.
York Regional Police responded on Nov. 5 at about 2 a.m. to the area of Hwy. 48 and Norman Jones Place. Cops say a man entered the store, threatened the victim with a knife and demanded cash. The victim turned over cash and the man fled northbound on foot.
The wanted man is described as white, about 6-foot-2 with a slim build, and clean-shaven with a moustache. He was wearing a navy blue and red toque, a black jacket, black pants and white running shoes. The suspect also was heard speaking with a lisp.
