(NewsNation) — Cassie Ventura is looking to reignite her career.

The “Me & U” singer’s career fizzled during and after her relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs — he is said to have blackballed her after she left him for her now husband, personal trainer Alex Fine — but there is chatter she could be making another comeback “after she heals,” spies said.

Ventura’s 2006 self-titled album and single “Me & U” were a huge hit, and she was considered a rising star. She later appeared in the 2008 film “Step Up 2: The Streets,” “The Perfect Match” and on several episodes of “Empire.”

Despite her successes, Ventura disappeared after her 2018 breakup with Combs and kept a low profile until she filed her lawsuit against Combs in November of last year — and he settled a day later for a rumored $30 million.

Since then, she has been seen out in New York City a few times, and word is she is ready to make a career come back once the dust settles on Combs.

A lawyer for Ventura declined to comment.
