Bring A Trailer seems to be delving into some strange territory. This time, we’re not even talking about cars with annoyingly low miles going for big bucks. This time around it’s a full-scale model of a highly desirable car, rendered in wood.

Currently listed on Bring A Trailer is a life sized model of a Bentley Continental GT, specifically the third —and outgoing — generation of the Continental GT. According to the description, the model was purchased by Bentely of Indianapolis, Indiana from Belgium.

While it’s not said who specifically created the model, it’s said it was made from thousands of pieces of reclaimed teak. The description says it took over 3,000 hour. The result is a highly detailed model that weighs in at an estimated 2,000 pounds.

And it is highly detailed. The doors actually open on hinges. There are actually bezels for the head and taillights and acrylic windows. There’s even a rack and pinion steering linkage and rotating hubs for the wheels. It’s mentioned that some of the glued seams have cracks.

If you’re interested in owning something this unique, there’s plenty of time left to bid on it. As of this posting, there are two days left in the auction, with the current bid sitting at $2,800. Not bad for a Bentley. A wooden one sure, but a Bentley nonetheless.
