A southwest Sydney man who was charged with attempted murder after allegedly poisoning a woman with tea has been named.
Stephan Wagner, 61, allegedly brewed the tea for his 66-year-old female partner.

The woman became seriously ill after drinking the tea, police allege.
The semi-retired businessman had dedicated much of his life to science research, 7NEWS understands, having worked on research projects at the CSIRO.
A strike force was established in September 2024, and an investigation into the alleged poisoning began.
Wagner was arrested on Tuesday 8 October at a home at Lanark Pl, St Andrews.
A bottle of insecticide was also seized at the home and has been sent for forensic examination.
Wagner was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with cause poison etc to be taken with intention to murder (DV), use poison etc so as to endanger life (DV), and use poison etc so as to inflict grievous bodily harm (DV).
He has been refused bail and appeared before Campbelltown Local Court via videolink from prison on Wednesday.
He did not apply for bail during his appearance.
He will reappear in court on December 4.
7NEWS understands Wagner had recently told neighbours his partner was unwell due to allergies.
Friends of the couple say they were left shocked at the news of the arrest.
“I can’t believe it … I find it hard to believe … they were a nice couple,” a neighbour told 7NEWS.
