Naukri shares tumble 3% on reporting 12% YoY jump in Q2 standalone billings

Shares of Naukri-operator Info Edge (India) tumbled 3.3% to their day’s low of Rs 7,920.30 on the BSE after the company on Monday reported a 12% YoY jump in its standalone billing for the second quarter ended September 2024, which stood at Rs 650.3 crore.

The same stood at Rs 569 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. On a semi-annual basis, the company’s billings stood at Rs 1,229.6 crore as of September 30, 2024.

Segment-wise, the company’s recruitment solutions too witnessed a jump of 12% YoY at Rs 492 crore while 99 acres’ billings surged by 14% on a year-on-year basis.

99 acres’ attracted billings worth Rs 107.4 crore for the second quarter of the current financial year, while the same stood at Rs 188.4 crore for the period of 6 months ended September 2024.

Meanwhile, the other segments’ billings increased by 11% YoY at Rs 51 crore, against Rs 45.4 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

For the quarter ended June 2024, Info Edge (India) reported a consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 233 crore, which was up by 47% versus Rs 159 crore reported in the year-ago period.

The revenue from operations stood at Rs 677 crore compared to Rs 626 crore a year ago, registering 8% year-on-year growth.

On a standalone basis, the company recorded a 16% year-on-year jump in its net profit for the said quarter to Rs 232 crore versus Rs 200 crore reported by it in the year-ago period.

In the last one year, the company’s shares have gained 89.7% while in the current calendar year so far, the stock has gone up by 55%.
