Oasis tour live: Fans steel themselves for huge announcement as band tease ‘warning’ in North America

Liam Gallagher performs for first time since announcing Oasis reunion

Oasis are set to make a big announcement today, as fans anticipate the British rock band could be about to share the North America dates for their widely anticipated 2025 reunion tour.

On Saturday evening (29 September), the British rock band unveiled snaps of huge billboards in various locations around the world, with the strapline reading: “Be careful what you wish for.”

The posts to social media also included the time and date of Monday (30 September) 8am ET (1pm BST), and added the hashtag #OasisLive25.

One fan shared a video to X/Twitter confirming an Oasis billboard in Toronto, while another was placed in Times Square, New York. Another billboard seemed to have gone up in Chicago.

The Independent reported last week that brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher were poised to reveal their plans for an international tour, having sold out all of their UK and Ireland shows in August.

Liam Gallagher issues furious rebuke to criticism of his singing at Wembley boxing fixture

Last week, Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher launched a furious rebuke to criticisms of his performance at Wembley at the weekend.

However, some fans on social media criticised Gallagher’s vocals during the show, prompting the famously irascible musician to issue a foul-mouthed response on X/Twitter.

“To all those S***C***S who were crying about my ANGELIC TONES last night you ain’t real fans your just IMPOSTERS,” he wrote. “And if you do have tickets you wanna get rid off I’ll gladly take them off your hands we don’t want the likes of you at our concerts nxt year any way LF***ING.”

Liam Gallagher tells Oasis fan that a new album is ‘in the bag’

Earlier this month, Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher told a fan on social media that a new album from the band was “in the bag”, just days after the British rock band announced a sold out reunion tour.

Liam cheekily hinted that new music with his brother Noel has already been completed, as the fan in question asked the 51-year-old singer: “Mate it might be jumping the gun a bit but I feel an albums in the air? Imagine [sic].”

No new music has been officially confirmed by Oasis, whose last studio album was Dig Out Your Soul in 2008. Both Liam and Noel have released a total of 10 albums respectively in various projects since Oasis split up in 2009.

Oasis international tour announcement ‘imminent’ after rock band sell out UK dates

The Independent understands that the British rock band will reveal their plans in the coming days, having first announced the UK and Ireland leg in August.

All of their shows announced so far have sold out, including seven nights at Wembley Stadium in London, and another five at Manchester’s Heaton Park.

Their reunion announcement landed right before the 30-year anniversary of Definitely Maybe, the band’s record-breaking debut that includes hits “Supersonic”, “Shakermaker” and “Live Forever”.

Who will support Oasis on their reunion tour?

Oasis are still to work out which acts will support them on their huge 2025 reunion tour, but frontman Liam Gallagher is apparently keen to give fans the best show possible.

While several reports have claimed various bands are already lined up to open for the British rock band at their shows in London, Cardiff, Dublin, Edinburgh and Manchester, The Independent understands that brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher have yet to sit down and discuss which artists they want.

However, Liam is said to be eager to bring a few big rock acts on board.

“Liam is keen for established acts so it will probably take a bit of back and forth before anything’s confirmed,” a source close to the band told The Independent.
