Burgundy is everywhere this season and it’s obvious that the wine red colour has become autumn’s trending colour. We saw plenty of influencers donning shoes and coats in the deep hue during London Fashion Week.
Thankfully, burgundy isn’t a difficult shade to incorporate into your daily look, especially if black, white, and neutrals are your go-to colours. High street retailer Next has launched its latest autumn edit and they have brought back a popular shower-resistant coat in the ‘IT’ hue.
Part of a page dedicated to all things in burgundy, the longline Shower Resistant Padded Coat, £64, is just the ticket for when you want to look stylish while walking your dog in the chilly weather or taking a stroll in the park.
The coat is designed in a mid length with front zip fastening, zipped pockets to keep your phone and wallet safe, as well as side popper detailing so you won’t feel constricted while sitting or on the move.
It also features a handy packable hood, concealed along the neckline – this should come in handy on those cold and rainy days.
Available in regular and petite sizes, the £64 outerwear can be purchased onlline between size 6 and 22. If burgundy is not your favourite colour, there is other colourways including winter classics like black, brown, khaki green and dusty pink.
Fans are in love with the wine colour and one shopper said: “The padded coat arrived just in time when it’s pouring outside, it’s keeping me dry and warm.”
“It’s practical and you can wear it over your office outfits or just pop it on top of your jeans and a top for a casual look,” a second added.
But some shoppers weren’t happy with the price, with one noting: “Only shower resistant for that much? I would expect heavy down pour resistant.”
Shoppers can find bargain coats on Debenhams sale including this Laurel Coat from Lighthouse Clothing, which has been reduced to £51.99.
Karen Millen’s Belted Hood Puffer Jacket gives better protection against wind and rain, and it has a faux-fur hood for extra warmth. The jacket is also on sale and reduced from £229 to £160.
