LIV Golf Adelaide scheduled for February in major change to 2025 schedule

LIV Golf Adelaide has officially been moved to February in a major change to next year’s schedule.

Previously held in April, the event at The Grange Golf Club has been a roaring success the past two years and was crowned the World’s Best Golf Event at the World Golf Awards.

But next year it will be the second event on the calendar, taking place from February 14-16.

The season will open in Riyadh on the first weekend in February before going to Adelaide, followed by events in Hong Kong and Singapore in March.

Premier Peter Malinauskas made the announcement on Wednesday, highlighting a potential clash with the US Masters.

“We promised a bigger and better LIV Golf Adelaide in 2024 and we delivered, for the fans, for the players, and for our State’s economy,” he said.

“The resounding success of LIV Golf Adelaide continues to cement our state’s reputation as the best place in the nation to host blockbuster events – and I cannot wait for LIV to go even bigger and better again in February 2025.”

More than 94,000 people attended the event this year as Aussie superstar Cam Smith led the Rippers to victory in the first-ever team playoff.

The attendance figure was up 22 per cent from the inaugural event and resulted in $71.1 million in direct expenditure in South Australia, according to Vision Insights.

LIV Golf chief Greg Norman is proud of the Adelaide event.

“It’s been the highlight tournament on our calendar for players and fans alike.”
