“When I first started making content on here, I made it all about laundry,” she told her more than 107,000 followers.

“The number one question you asked every day was about lint removal, dog hair removal.

“And now Kmart have come out with this product — in-wash lint collectors.”

Unlike normal lint rollers, this product is a circular and sticky, and can be thrown straight into your wash cycle or used directly on clothes.

“If this product really works, I know it’s gonna be that golden product that’s in every single household laundry in Australia,” the TikToker declared.

“As I peel this away, you can see it’s super sticky, so it leaves no residue whatsoever.

“Unlike normal sticky rollers, you can reuse this, over and over.”

The TikToker first tested the product by removing dust directly from a dusty coat that’s been in her wardrobe “forever”.

“This dust was so caked on,” she said, as she repeatedly passed the collector over the jacket.

“It came straight off with no effort. So far, I’m really impressed.”

She cleaned it by putting it in cold water and letting it sit to air dry.

In a follow-up video, Liddy tested the efficiency of the lint collector in the washing machine.

She tried to wash a jumper “that had so much lint”, but it was not successful.

“Not only did it not work, it stuck to the side of a drum,” she said.

So, she put a new lint collector in the washing machine along with another, dirtier jumper.

However, this attempt was also unsuccessful.

“Again, stuck to the side of the drum,” she said.

“This thing did not pick up a single piece of lint in (the) wash.”

Verdict

Liddy concluded that the lint collector is “a good product” but only if it’s used directly on fabric.

She added that the product is also sustainable as it’s reusable, and will replace her old rolling lint collectors.

Therefore, she’s keeping it.

“I love you Kmart, but this one needs to be rebranded,” she concluded.

Shoppers also shared their verdicts, with many left agreeing with the TikTokers review.

“Have these, and they haven’t successfully removed dog hair from my washing at all,” one person wrote.

“I found they work directly on things, but not in the wash. Which makes sense as they aren’t sticky when wet and cleaned by water!” another agreed.

But others said it worked just as well in their washing machine.

“Works in a front loader better, from experience,” one wrote.

“Brought them the other day, can confirm they work! I washed my dogs bed & soft toys,” another wrote.

“When I pulled them out of the drum there was hair & fluff stuck to them, so I took that as a win.”
