Six injured in shooting incident in Auckland, New Zealand

At least six people are believed to have been injured in a shooting incident in Auckland, New Zealand.

It’s understood the shooting occurred at a construction site on Quay St in the CBD on Thursday morning.

One worker at the site reported that two men armed with shotguns stormed the building.

Several workers escaped from the building, some running towards the rooftop and others through the front doors.

Three people have been seriously injured and three people have been moderately injured.

Local media the New Zealand Herald is also reporting multiple people, including civilians, may have been killed in the incident.

It’s also been reported the gunman is dead.

The Deloitte construction site at which the shooting occurred is near the hotel where the Norwegian women’s soccer team is staying for the World Cup and about 100m from the World Cup live fan site.
