The strange saga of a Houston man reportedly found alive after he disappeared eight years ago has continued to unfold, with neighbours questioning whether he was indeed missing.
Rudolph “Rudy” Farias was 17-years-old when he was reported missing in Houston in March 2015, according to the Texas Centre for the Missing.
Farias, now 25, was found alive last week sleeping in front of a Texas church.

It’s unclear where he has been over the years, and officials did not offer further details on his past whereabouts or what led to the call that reunited him with his family.
His mother said in a statement shortly after Farias was found that he was receiving care for his trauma.
She said he is nonverbal and is unable to communicate with his family.
But neighbours of the family say they were confused by the news because they frequently saw and socialised with Farias, who they call “Dolph,” short for Rudolph, over the past several years.
“He used to come in my garage, chill with my cousin, son, and daughter,” neighbour Kisha Ross told ABC 13 in Houston.
“That boy has never been missing.”
Houston Police were seen meeting with Farias’s family on Wednesday at a hotel.
They released a statement on Twitter, saying a news conference would be held on July 6, local time, to provide an update on the case.
