A sad poet no more! Joe Alwyn is officially in movie-star mode.
On Thursday, the actor touched down in Nice for the Cannes Film Festival, where Kinds of Kindness is premiering this week. The star-studded film—the latest from Poor Things director Yorgos Lanthimos—also features Emma Stone, Margaret Qualley, Willem Dafoe, Hunter Schafer, and Jessie Plemons (among others), and is sure to be a highlight on the Croisette.
Alwyn is arguably best known for his past relationship with Taylor Swift, who penned some songs about him on her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. But in his impeccable airport outfit (and post-breakup glow-up) he seems ready to center Joe Alwyn, Actor.

After gaining some attention in the Internet Boyfriend row at the Loewe fall 2024 menswear show, Alywn is serving up another noteworthy fashion moment in Cannes. Now a Bottega Boy, apparently, the actor strutted out of the airport wearing a khaki Bottega Veneta shirt jacket over a white tank top, blue jeans, and black lug-sole oxfords. By toting his black Bottega weekender in the brand’s signature intrecciato weave, moreover, Alwyn is lending the brand his literal hand in making their bags just as popular among men as they are with women.
So, with his newfound sense of swagger—and brand-new Bottega Veneta ’fit—Joe Alwyn is a brand-new man. We’re excited to see what else his weekend bag holds for the red carpet.
