Pune, April 6: After losing the first two matches in IPL 2022, Mumbai (Mumbai Indians) have made big changes in the team. For the match against Kolkata (MI vs KKR), captain Rohit Sharma has shown the way out to two players. Suryakumar Yadav has returned to the team due to his fit. With Surya joining the team, Anmolpreet Singh has to sit out. On the other hand, Rohit has also beaten Tim David, who has failed in the previous two matches. Dewald Brevis has been given the opportunity to replace David. In just a few days, David Brewis gained popularity as Baby AB. Brewis had a stellar performance in the Under-19 World Cup. Cricketers and fans were reminded of South Africa’s AB de Villiers after watching a few shots of Bravis. David Brewis also plays for South Africa. In fact, Mumbai Indians and Rohit Sharma are not known for much change in the team. It was certain that Suryakumar Yadav would join the team as soon as he was fit. But Team David was shown the way out after a two-match losing streak. In the first match against Delhi, Team David was bowled out for 12 off 8 balls, while against Rajasthan, David was bowled out for 1 off 3 balls. Khalil Ahmed took his wicket in the first match and Yuzvendra Chahal in the second. In the IPL auction, Mumbai Indians bought Team David by bidding for Rs 8.25 crore. There was fierce competition between Mumbai and KKR to buy David, but Mumbai won. Team David was Mumbai’s second most expensive player in this year’s IPL auction. After hitting Rs 15.25 crore on Ishaan Kishan, Mumbai also showered money on David. The Singapore-born team plays in Australia, and has made a name for itself in T20 leagues around the world. One of the reasons for keeping David out is that KKR may have two excellent spinners. It would have been difficult for David to play two spinners, Sunil Narayan and Varun Chakraborty, as he has no experience of playing a spinner of this caliber in leagues around the world.
