Farmer Wants a Wife contestant Sophie Holcombe has given an insight into her life after her shock split with Farmer Brenton.
Sophie won Brenton’s heart in this year’s season of the popular Channel 7 reality TV show, but announced in a surprise Instagram post in early August that they had gone separate ways.

The news came just months after the show’s reunion episode aired and seven months after filming for the series wrapped in December 2022.
“I have an update to share,” she wrote.
“With a heavy heart, I want to let everyone know Brenton and I have gone our separate ways.
“Reg (Sophie’s dog) and I loved our life in Darriman and have been missing the farm a lot.
“It’s a disappointing ending, but I’ve learned a lot about myself and my values.
“I wish Brenton all the best and want to thank everyone for their support, especially my family and friends.”
Now, it seems Sophie is focused on sharing some quality time with her beloved dog.
Posting to her Instagram stories on Sunday, she shared video of herself cuddling Reg on a beautiful sunny day, with the caption “Sunday with the darls”.
Another video showed Sophie in running gear with Reg also in the picture.
“No rest days for Reg,” the photo was captioned.
In a third photo, Sophie and Reg posed for a selfie.
“Actual bestie,” the picture was captioned.
In recent weeks, Sophie appears to have returned to Brisbane, where she was living before applying for the Channel 7 show.
While Brenton is yet to address the relationship news, his most recent social media post is perhaps an indication of it.
One day before news of the split emerged, Brenton posted a carousel of photos, with the caption: “Still up there with some of the best of times and best people”.
Sophie was seen in only one of the six images, appearing in a group shot.
Brenton tagged all the farmers, Sam Armytage, and other friends appearing in the post – but not Sophie.
Meanwhile, on Sophie’s account, the farmer had not appeared since June 23, leading some to speculate in the comments section of her posts before the split was announced.
After Sophie posted a photo of a night out with two other Farmer contestants, a handful of fans expressed their sadness that the relationship with Brenton had ended.
“I am sorry to hear you’re dealing with a tough time Sophie,” one fan wrote.
“I have no doubt you’ll find someone deserving of you very soon.
“Wishing you the best moving forward.”
